  1. National Coordinator, Project on training support to decentralized planning, FAO of the United Nations, Rome, (1992-94)

    Responsibilities included conceiving, preparing, leading and managing the project, co‑ordinate the research activity of several institutions in India, preparing training manuals for training of public servants and others involved in area development through agricultural development, testing of the manual and oversee implementation of the project

    Management of the project and supervising the working out of studies of how to activate the market economies and market forces to develop agriculture in an area having due regard for the employment generation and poverty alleviation programme

  3. National Project Coordinator of United Nations Development Programme (1990-1992)

    Implementation of this large project for the improve­ment of the public administration in India, included: evaluation of training institutions in the UK, Germany and the USA, training needs assessment of faculty of premier training institutions for Officers of Indian Civil Services; selection of consultants; - of infra-structure of training institutions including selection of hardware and soft wares and monitoring the progress made; and provide assistance in evaluating the project and provide feed back to the UNDP and its implementing agency in New-York

  4. Consultant to the Ministry of Science and Technology for Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China, Beijing

    Capacity building and providing technical backstopping for the State Commissions for Science and Technology in China. 1997

  5. Consultant to Bi-lateral Agencies like CARE India, New-Delhi. (2000 onwards)

    Providing training to Staff of CARE India and the NGOs working in Delhi Urban Development under PLUS Project of Government of India, DfID and CARE India. Long term association with development of monitoring indicators and develop plans for urban slum development with the slum dwellers and help the community in implementing the plan. Started in March 2000

  6. Consultant to International Labour Organisation, New-Delhi (January-March 2001)

    Working out the strategies and components of US Ministry of Labour and Government of India on Elimination of Child Labour from Hazardous Industries in India, and prepare the project document and lead discussions at the highest levels on the issues

  7. Principal Consultant for the Project Appraisal Document of the World Bank’s AP Rural Poverty Reduction Project of US $ 0.5 billion (March-July 2002)

    Working out the strategies, components and financing plan of the World Bank’s project on poverty reduction in Andhra Pradesh, spread over 18 years at an aggregate cost of US $ 1.5 billion and prepare the project document and lead discussions at all levels, from the poor to the highest levels on the issues through participatory rural appraisal methods

  8. Social Development Officer and Master Trainer (February-June 2003), United Nations, Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, UN, Bangkok, Thailand

    Helping the prepartion of the Secretariat for the meeting of Heads of Governments of the 59th Commission Session of the Economic and Social Council for the Asia and the Pacific and working on peer group education and non-formal education for prevention of HIV/AIDS amongst youth. Management of the project and supervising the working out of studies of how to activate the market economies and market forces to develop agriculture in an area having due regard for the employment generation and poverty alleviation programme
